Khalsa mero roop hain khas !!
There was a Sikh devotee of Guru Gobind Singhji, whom guruji himself said that he is one of the most beautiful sikh of guru as he was very good looking. But one day that Sikh notcied that he has got a white hair in his beard, Fearing that it would spoil his handsome figure that he has among other sikhs , he took the knife and got it cut, he became happy that he had started looking handsome again.
Next day he went to meet Guruji, he bowed before Guruji, but instead of blessing him Guruji turned his back on him. He went from other side of the Guruji's seat and to his astonishment he saw Guruji was having tears in his eyes.
Trembling he asked Guruji as to what mistake he did that Guruji is not even looking at his face.
Guruji told him that he has committed not a wrong deed , but a crime or sin for which Guruji will never ever forgive him as to look good and make himself comfortable he has insulted Guruji's " rehat " and Guruji has clearly stated -
" Dashmesh pita ne gal saaf ae samjhai hain,
Sikh nahin pyara, mainu rehat pyari hain "
Meaning - Its not the Sikhs that guru loves at first place , but the "rehat " that guruji has bestowed upon Sikhs.
So my dear brothers keep it in mind and don't fall out of the "rehat " of Guru Gobind Singh Ji just for the sake of looking good or making yourself comfortable as you will face the wrath of Guru and the hand that protects us will be removed from our heads.
Its our identity that distinguishes us even if we stand in a crowd of 1000 people, dont loose that identity.
